Smith says Williams signed a deal that said if the film were to gross over $100 million in box office sales, the actor would receive a larger portion of the film's total gross. This means that once it hit that mark, Williams would split profits with Miramax. The film ended its opening weekend with a gross of $272,912 in box office sales. Despite the deal, Weinstein didn't appear intent on keeping up any part of it. Smith believes the goal of Weinstein and his production company was to maximize their own profits and keep Williams from splitting the profits. There’s all this Oscar buzz, so why would you pull it if it was just making money?'” he wrote in the new book. “And they did it because keeping it in theatres meant that more of the money would go to Robin, whereas the moment it went to video the split wasn’t Robin-heavy.”īy the time Good Will Hunting ended its theatrical run in April 1998, it had grossed $133 million in domestic box office sales. With its great user interface and added flexibility for animating pictures, FotoMagico for Mac is most suited for users who are creating slideshows regularly and are looking for some more customization options than offered in Apple's iLife.Įditors' note: This is a review of the trial version of FotoMagico for Mac 4.2.It went on to gross $225.9 million worldwide from a $10 million dollar budget. The demo version also comes with a watermark, which is not present in a purchased version. There are enough transitions, but sadly there seem to be no filters or special effects available to apply to your pictures or short clips in the demo version. Unlike Adobe Flash, you simply define the initial and the final stage for your pictures and the program will animate accordingly. The main advantage of this app over the Apple ones is the added customization and different approach in the "in-pictures" effect, namely between two transitions. It is indeed really hard not to draw a comparison between this software and the well-known iLife suite, particularly iPhoto and iMovie. Drag-and-drop is supported in most places and multitouch trackpad gestures work as they would on an official Apple app. It's well thought out and really intuitive, and everything behaves exactly as expected. The strong point of this software is clearly its interface.
